Winter of 1793
03:40

It is hard to me talking about it
She was my love, my life; my daughter
It was the winter of 1793. She was 14, was ill
About her illness we knew nothing, I do not know
Many doctors mentioned many diseases while she got worse every day
The days died and they wanted to die with my girl, and I could not do anything against that
She was in the second floor and cut her own veins in her left arm. She died in minutes
I am sure she could not do it herself, something took her away
The forensic told me about some marks and scars she had through all her body
One scar in her back with form of a cross that I never saw before in the body of my girl
I found a book written by my daughter, it said she was “chosen” for something big; “chosen by god”
I am an atheist, I do not know from where she could have taken such a crazy idea
She died for it, believing a tale that nobody told, a tale that nobody wrote, a tale that never happened
I cannot believe this joke
This must be a nightmare
I started to have dreams in whose my daughter shows me places that I only know because that stupid book
I am losing my sanity, surely like she did

At the Edge of the Swamp
02:26

Once I loved a woman
I met her closing the year of 1641. About her I shall not write anything; about her name, her beauty, it is hard to explain
We lived at the edge of a gloomy swamp. That was all what I could pay
When we got there she said feeling rare things, she could never explain it… Or I never understood her
In the winter of ’44 my wife died
I came home and the neighbors told me they saw her walking near the swamp and suddenly she fell inside it
Nobody could help her
She was devoured by that lake of filth

Eyes of another Plane
02:49
|

He was totally blind, but technology and science’s advancement at that point was higher than clouds
The surgery lasted five hours, the work was heavy
But this man was ready to see the filth of this world
He saw the light, saw the colors. He couldn’t imagine something more beautiful before
He saw what just heard time ago
Now the creation of god was there for him to be appreciated
But he started to talk about a shadow that saw in a corner of his sight, a fail of his new eyes; the tools that showed him this paradise
For months he was blind again, while the surgeons changed his eyes
Then he didn’t see the shadow before a few weeks then
The man made a scandal, he paid a lot for his new sense and the shadow was still there, growing and growing
The surgeons were amazed
They didn’t know anything about a shade
When they made the test with a screen this pointed the eyes were the best
So, one day after a hard night in which some neighbors said he shouted a lot
The once blind man appeared, much older than before
He said what people thought seeing on him was a mistake
He said he was better than ever
And his synthetic eyes showed a life, he was living well
He was just a new man
